Monthly Update from President
01st May 2026
By Kylie Harding
Firstly — thank you. Your support for the Chamber (whether you’ve attended events, renewed your membership, introduced another business, sponsored, hosted, or simply cheered us on) has been genuinely appreciated. The growth in membership has been overwhelming, and it’s a great reminder that local businesses are looking for connection, support, and a strong collective voice.
A quick note as well: there’s absolutely no need to apologise if you can’t make it to every event. There is no expectation on members and no judgement for non-participation. We’ll keep providing opportunities in lots of different formats — in-person, casual, structured — and it’s completely up to you how (and when) you’d like to be involved.
Our point of difference is simple: no pressure, no fuss. And if you do plan to attend something, we just ask that you RSVP so we (and the venues) can plan properly.
And if you’re more of a quiet member — that’s completely okay too. You’re still part of the Chamber, and your membership still helps strengthen the local business community.
This month's WINS
- Membership growth: We’re now approaching 80 members, which is a huge step forward for a volunteer-run Chamber. See our Member Directory HERE.
- Pittwater Business launch: We’re excited to share the launch of Pittwater Business, a collaboration designed to strengthen business connection and visibility across our local areas.
- Area Managers appointed (Warriewood + Newport):
- Warriewood: Marine Raynard — Hang 10 Distillery
- Newport: Jo Slater — Chamber Secretary and proud Newport local
These Area Managers will help us build local momentum, welcome new businesses, and make sure each area has a clear point of contact.
Recent Highlight - Members Pizza night at the Mona
A big thanks to everyone who came along to our recent Member Pizza Night — it was a relaxed, friendly night and a great reminder of what this Chamber is all about: local people, real conversations, and genuine support.

We’ve got more opportunities coming up to connect in person — you can view what’s coming up HERE
And if you’re a business owner who’d like to host a Chamber event (breakfast, site visit, workshop, evening drinks, behind-the-scenes, anything that suits your space and audience), let us know — we’d love to feature more member-hosted events.
Help up grow the network in Newport and Warriewood
As we build Pittwater Business, we’re asking for your help to keep the momentum going — especially through Warriewood and Newport. If you know a great local business owner who’d benefit from being part of a supportive network (and being found through our directory), please introduce them to us or forward this update on. Every warm intro makes a difference.

Member Specials - keep them coming

If you have a special offer you’d like included, please send it through (a short description + any terms + expiry date + link/contact). And if you’ve run one before — consider refreshing it for the season.
Thanks again for being part of something local — we’re building a stronger business community together.
Cheers, Kylie
